Support Worker

Do you love helping people to live fulfilling lives, get involved in their community and make a difference? If so, you could be the person for us. We are looking for passionate and dedicated Support Workers who want to help us make a difference to our service users in our learning disability service.

You will undertake a wide range of key tasks which will include assisting residents with personal care, cooking, domestic duties, going out and having fun.  You will need great written and verbal communication skills, be willing to be flexible and attend our excellent training and development programme.

You will be required to work any five days out of seven, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and Bank holidays (Enhanced rate).  You may be required to undertake sleep in duties, for which an additional allowance is paid.

Desirable Criteria

  • NVQ Level 2 / Diploma in Health & Social Care - anyone who does not have NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care must be prepared to do the Care Certificate within their induction period
  • Experience of learning disability support/care work

It is also desirable to have a driving licence and be willing to drive
